Butter Chicken, or Murgh Makhani, is North India’s best-loved curry and one of the most ordered dishes at Taste of India Express. We start with chicken marinated in yogurt, ginger, garlic and garam masala, cook it in the clay oven so it picks up that gentle smoke, then finish it in a slow-simmered tomato sauce enriched with butter, cream and a pinch of dried fenugreek.
The result is mild enough for children and still full of flavour for anyone who grew up on Indian food. Portions are generous — guests often tell us one order stretches to a second meal — and it pairs beautifully with basmati rice or our fresh-made naan.
